(Morton Place, Kilmarnock) (Temporary Road Closure and Banned Turns) Order 2022
On 17/05/22 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order. This Order will make it unlawful for any vehicles to contravene any of the restrictions on any of the lengths of roads stated below. These restrictions are required by reason of facilitating Scottish Power Connection works to be executed on or near the road.
Road Closure and Banned Turns
No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the south east side of Morton Place between Park Street and the car park access.
No person shall drive or cause or permit any vehicle be driven such that the vehicle enters Morton Place, Kilmarnock from Park Street Kilmarnock.
Vehicular access from Morton Place northeast to Park Street is not affected.
Diverted traffic will be signed via Park Street, North Hamilton Street and Woodstock Street
Vehicular access for Emergency Services, residents/owners/occupiers of Morton Place is via the diversion route.
Pedestrian access will be maintained
The Order shall come into force at 00:01 hrs on 23/05/22 until 23:59 hrs on 01/06/22, or until the Scottish Power Connection works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
