On 18/01/22 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, that continues the restrictions imposed by East Ayrshire Council (Glaisnock Street and Ayr Road, Cumnock) (Temporary One-way Operation and Banned Left Turn) Order 2021, which would have expired at 24:00 hrs on 31/01/22, by reason of building works, to be executed on or near the road.

The Order imposes the following restrictions—

One-way Operation

No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a direction other than in a south-easterly direction on Glaisnock St, Cumnock (from Townhead St to Ayr Rd).

Alternative Routes: Diversion via Ayr Rd, New Bridge St, Tanyard, Barrhill Rd, Drumbrochan Rd and Townhead St.

Banned Left Turn

No vehicle shall be permitted to turn left onto Glaisnock St, Cumnock from Ayr Rd.

The Order is in force from 24:00 hrs on 31/01/22 until 09:00 hrs on 04/04/22 and will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

This Order will be further extended by ARA-EAC-Order-No31 which will continue these provisions and remain in force until 09:00 hrs on 30/09/22 and will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
