On 06/07/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful between 18:00 hrs and 06:00 hrs (daily) for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in an easterly direction on route A71, Kilmarnock, from the boundary with North Ayrshire eastwards to Moorfield Roundabout (except vehicles engaged in East Ayrshire Council’s resurfacing works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.
The Order shall come into force at 18:00 hrs on 26/07/21 until 06:00 hrs on 05/08/21, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency access and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Alternative Route: via Towerland Rd, Dreghorn, B7081 to Springside/Crosshouse and B7064, Kilmarnock.
