On 04/05/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of resurfacing works to be executed on or near the roads.
This Order makes it unlawful, from Mon to Fri between 09:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs, for any vehicle to wait on either side of or for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Main St (from the C125 to Kirkland Rd) and Kirkland Rd (from Main St to West View Tce), Dunlop.
Vehicles engaged in the resurfacing works and emergency vehicles will be exempt from the waiting restriction.
Emergency access and pedestrian access will be maintained through the works site throughout the closure period.
Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closures will be permitted to and from their properties but not through the actual works site.
Alternative Route: via A735 to Stewarton, B778 to Lochlibo Rd (A736), A736 to Burnhouse and B706 to Dunlop and vice versa. Please note there is a low bridge on the A735 Stewarton Rd, Dunlop (15’ 9”/4.8m) that makes this route not suitable for high sided vehicles.
The Order shall come into force at 09:00 hrs on 17/05/21 until 18:00 hrs on 28/05/21, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
