East Ayrshire Council (Cotter Drive, Oliphant Drive, Shanter Place and Souter Drive, Kilmarnock) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2021 - East Ayrshire Archived

On 16/02/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any lengths of roads stated below, by reason of facilitating Scottish Water mains renewal works to be executed on or near the road.

ROAD CLOSURES

Information Signs will be erected on site giving advance notice of the implementation dates of each phased closure.

It is anticipated that the roads will be closed in the following phases.

Phase One (daily from 08:00 until 17:00 hours).

Cotter Dr will be closed in three separate parts as the works progress. From Mon 08/03/21 until Sun 14/03/21 inclusive.

Alternative Route: via Souter Dr and Oliphant Dr and vice versa.

Phase Two

Oliphant Dr from its junction with Shanter Pl to its junction with Cotter Dr. From Mon 15/03/21 until Sun 21/03/21 inclusive.

Alternative Route: via Souter Dr and Cotter Dr and vice versa.

Phase Three (daily from 08:00 until 17:00 hours).

Shanter Pl from Tues 23/03/21 until Fri 26/03/21 inclusive.

Phase Four

Souter Dr from its junction with Oliphant Dr to its junction with Cotter Dr. From Fri 02/04/21 until Sun 18/04/21 inclusive.

Alternative Route: via Oliphant Dr and Cotter Dr and vice versa.

Emergency access and vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closures will be permitted to and from their properties when it is safe to do so and when directed by a Traffic Marshal to go through the works site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closures.

The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 08/03/21 until 24:00 hrs on 18/04/21, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
