On 02/02/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any lengths of roads on the days and during the times stated below, by reason of facilitating resurfacing works to be executed on or near the road.

ROAD CLOSURES

B7046, Sinclairston (road closed daily from 08:00 hours until 17:00 hours) - from Mon 22/02/21 until Fri 05/03/21.

From its junction with U728 Glenconner at Burnton westwards to No. 9, St. Clare’s Court (B7046), Sinclairston.

Alternative Route: via B7046 to Drongan, B730 to Coalhall, A70 to Ayr, A77 to Kilmarnock, A76 to Cumnock, A70 Ayr Rd and B7046 towards Skares and vice versa (this diversion avoids to low bridge (14’ 0”/4.2m) on the A70 at Coalhall).

Emergency access and vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties only when it is safe to do so and only when directed by a Traffic Marshal to go through the works site.

B778 Stewarton Rd, Main Rd (B7061) and Skernieland Rd, Fenwick (road closed daily from 09:30 hours until 17:00 hours) - from Mon 22/02/21 until Fri 12/03/21. It is anticipated that these works will take 5 days to complete but the works are weather dependent. Information Signs will be erected on site giving advance notice of the implementation date.

B778 Stewarton Rd - From its junction with A77 to its junction with Main Rd (B7061);

Main Rd (B7061) - From its junction with B778 Stewarton Rd south-westwards for 30m, and

Skernieland Rd - From its junction with B778 Stewarton Rd north-eastwards for 30m.

Alternative Routes:

Southbound traffic on the M77 wanting to access Fenwick should proceed via M77 to junction 8 and north onto B7061, and

All other traffic will be diverted via A77, B751 to Kilmaurs, A735 to Kilmarnock, B7064, B7038 to Fenwick and B7061 and vice versa.

The maintained vehicular access for Emergency services and residents/owners/occupiers within/via the closures will be mainly given via the B7061 but only when it is safe to do so and only when directed by a Traffic Marshal to go through the works site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout all the closures.

The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 22/02/21 until 17:00 hrs on 12/03/21, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
