On 26/01/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of building works to be executed on or near the road.
This Order makes it unlawful-
1. for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Woodstock St, Kilmarnock, from a point 10 m west of the extended west kerb line of Grange St westwards for 52 m, starting at 07:00 hrs on 01/02/21 until 24:00 hrs on 17/04/22. Diversion is via Grange St, Portland Rd, North Hamilton St and Woodstock St and vice versa, and
2. for any vehicle to wait on Woodstock St, Kilmarnock, (north side) – from a point 24 m west of the extended west kerb line of Grange St westwards for 48 m, and (south side) – from a point 13 m west of the extended northwest kerb line of Grange St westwards for 48 m starting at 07:00 hrs on 01/02/21 until 24:00 hrs on 17/04/22. These waiting restrictions may be implemented in part at any time.
Vehicles contracted to work on Emtec Property Services building works will be exempt from the road closure. Emergency vehicles and vehicles being used contractually on Emtec Property Services building works will be exempt from the waiting restriction.
The Order shall come into force at 07:00 hrs on 01/02/21 until 24:00 hrs on 17/04/22, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
