On 26/05/20 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public during the initial re-opening of the Household Waste Recycling Centre.
The Order will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit any vehicle to be driven between the northbound carriageway of route B7064 Western Road and the southbound carriageway of route B7064 Western Road, (or vice versa) by way of the gap in the central reservation adjacent to the Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Only refuse vehicle that are in the service of or employed by East Ayrshire Council that are directed by a Traffic Marshal shall be exempt from this restriction.
The Order is in force from 07:00 hrs on 01/06/20 until 20:00 hrs on 31/08/20 and will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Alternative Route: via Western Road (southbound carriageway), Munro Avenue (southbound carriageway), Irvine Road, Portland Road, John Finnie Street, Langlands Brae, West Langlands Street, Bonnyton Road, Munro Avenue (northbound carriageway) and Western Road (northbound carriageway).
