On 20/08/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, as amended, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order. This Order continues the restrictions imposed by East Ayrshire Council (Aird Avenue, Ballochmyle Avenue, Darnconner Avenue, Glenshamrock Drive and Peden Drive, Auchinleck) (Temporary Road Closures and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2019 which would have expired at 21:00 hrs on 31/08/19, by reason of resurfacing works to be executed on or near the roads.
This Order makes it unlawful between 07:00 hr and 21:00 hrs daily for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any vehicle to wait on either side of Aird Ave, Ballochmyle Ave from Glenshamrock Dr to property boundary of No’s 112 and 114 Ballochmyle Dr, Darnconner Ave, Glenshamrock Dr and Peden Dr, Auchinleck. The cul-de-sacs within these lengths of roads are not going to be resurfaced, therefore, these restrictions will not be imposed on the cul-de-sacs.
The Order shall come into force at 21:00 hrs on 31/08/19 until 21:00 hrs on 24/09/19 or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
The restrictions will be introduced in phases as the works progress. Emergency services access will be maintained and vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties but not through the works site.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
