East Ayrshire Council (Route B769 High Street, Cutsburn Brae, Cutsburn Road, Cutstraw Road, Holm Street, Kirkford, Old Mill View and Robertland Rigg, Stewarton) (Temporary Closure and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2019 - East Ayrshire Archived

On 18/06/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, as amended, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of Scottish Water’s Bridge pipe works to be executed on or near the roads.

This Order makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Route B769 High Street, Stewarton, from Coopers Cres to Old Mill View (except vehicles engaged on Scottish Water’s Bridge pipe works). Alternative Route: via B769 to Newton Mearns, Barrhead Rd, Newton Mearns, A77 to Fenwick and B778 to Stewarton and vice versa.

Emergency access and vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from properties but not through the actual works site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.

This Order also makes it unlawful for any vehicle to wait at any time on either side of the following roads—

Cutsburn Brae: in its entirety;

Cutsburn Road: from Cutsburn Brae to its junction with Robertland Rigg;

Cutstraw Road: from Kirkford to Cutsburn Brae;

Holm Street: from Cutstraw Road to Bonnet Court;

Kirkford: from No’s. 4/8 Kirkford to Holm Street;

Old Mill View: in its entirety;

Robertland Rigg: in its entirety.

The Order shall come into force at 00:01 hrs on 24/06/19 until 24:00 hrs on 31/08/19, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
