On 16/04/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Route B741, New Cumnock, from a point 100m southwest of Boig Rd to a point 50m east of Knockshinnoch Rd and on C36 Boig Rd from B741 north-westwards to South Boig Farm (except vehicles engaged in the resurfacing works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.
It is anticipated that the works will be carried out on 27/04/19 but as it is weather dependent the road may need to be closed on 28/04/19, 04/05/19 and/or 05/05/19. Temporary information signs will be erected within the area to inform the travelling public of which day the roads will be closed.
Emergency services access will be restricted as entry to the closed roads will only be available via the northwest side of Boig Rd.
When it is deemed safe to do so vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closures will be permitted to and from their properties but not through the actual works site.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
The Order shall come into force at 00:01 hrs on 27/04/19 until 24:00 hrs on 05/05/19, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Alternative Route: via B741 to Dalmellington, A713 towards Ayr, B742 to Coylton, A70 to Cumnock, A76 to New Cumnock and B741 and vice versa.
