On 22/05/18 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Sections 14(1)(b) and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, that continues the restrictions imposed by East Ayrshire Council (Cruachan Place, Merrick Road and Whatriggs Road, Kilmarnock) (Temporary 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2017, which expires at 24:00 hrs on 29/06/18. These Orders make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20mph on Cruachan Pl, Merrick Rd (western arm) from Whatriggs Rd to a point 20m southeast of Campsie Rd, Merrick Rd (eastern arm) between Whatriggs Rd and Merrick Rd (western arm), and Whatriggs Rd from a point 14m southeast of Loudoun Ave to its junction with Lammermuir Rd, Kilmarnock, by reason of public safety.
The Order shall come into force at 24:00 hrs on 29/06/18 until 24:00 hrs on 10/03/19 and will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
