On 15/05/18 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Castle St and Cowgate, Mauchline or for any vehicle to wait at any time on Loudoun St, Mauchline in the layby opposite Loudoun St Car Park (except for vehicles engaged in Mauchline Holy Fair) for the purpose of facilitating the holding of a special event.
The Order is in force from 18:00 hrs on 25/05/18 until 18:00 hrs on 26/05/18 and will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
No alternative route available for Castle St.
