East Ayrshire Council (Route B741, Dalmellington) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2018
On 08/05/18 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on route B741, Dalmellington, from Grimmet Farm’s road end westwards for 100 metres (except vehicles engaged on works resurfacing the bypass road at the side of the cattle grid and replacing the cattle grid), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.
It is anticipated that the works will take about three weeks but the works are weather dependent.
The Order shall come into force at 00:01 hrs on 28/05/18 until 24:00 hrs on 29/06/18, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties.
Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Alternative Route: via B741 to Straiton, B7045 via Kirkmichael and Grimmet, B742 to Dalrymple, B7034 to Hollybush, A713 via Polnessan, Patna, Waterside to Dalmellington and vice versa.
