On 16/01/18 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any person to travel on the B7046 at Burnton Bridge, Ochiltree and B741 at Knockburnie Bridge, Dalleagles, New Cumnock (except pedestrians and vehicles engaged on the deck replacement works on Burnton Bridge and Knockburnie Bridge), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

The works are weather dependent and there will be times when both bridges are closed at the same time.

Signs will be erected on the B7046 and B741 to inform road users of the times and dates on which the roads will be closed.

The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 29/01/18 until 20:00 hrs on 30/04/18, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

B7046, Burnton Bridge, Ochiltree - Alternative Route: via U728 to Ochiltree, A70 to Cumnock and B7046 to Skares and vice versa.

 

B741, Knockburnie Bridge, Dalleagles, New Cumnock - Alternative Route: via B741 to Dalmellington, A713 to Polnessan and B730 to Coalhall, A70 to Cumnock and A76 to New Cumnock and vice versa.
