On 14/11/17 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Bank St, (from Sandbed St to Nelson St), Bank Pl, Cheapside St (from Sandbed St to King St), College Wynd (from Bank St to Low Church Lane), Kilmarnock, (except emergency vehicles or vehicles being used by or on behalf of East Ayrshire Council in connection with the holding of Kilmarnock’s Christmas lights special event), to facilitate the holding of Kilmarnock’s Christmas lights special event on or near the roads.

 

The Order will be in force from 07:00 hrs until 21:00 hrs on 26/11/17, or until the special event has concluded whichever is earlier and will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

Alternative Route: via John Finnie St, West George St, Green St, Sturrock St, Fowlds St, King St and St Marnock St.

 

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
