On 10/10/17 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, as amended, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of Scottish Power works to be executed on or near the road in three phases.

 

This Order makes it unlawful for any vehicle to wait orfor any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Melville St, between London Rd and Holehouse Rd, Kilmarnock from08:00 hrs on 23/10/17 until 18:00 hrs on 12/11/17. Diversions will be signed on site as each phased closure is implemented.

 

Exempt from road closures – Scottish Power’s or their contractors vehicles, emergency vehicles or vehicles requiring access to properties within the closed road.

Exempt from waiting restriction – Scottish Power’s or their contractors vehicles and emergency vehicles.

 

The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 23/10/17 until 18:00 hrs on 12/11/17 and will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
