On 03/10/17 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on A70 Ayr Rd, Cumnock, from Cumnock Academy to New Bridge St (except vehicles engaged on the resurfacing works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

 

The Order is in force from 08:00 hrs on 15/10/17 until 19:00 hrs on 29/10/17, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closurewill be permitted to and from their properties.

 

Emergency services vehicles and Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.

 

Alternative Route: via A70 Ayr Rd, A76 to Skerrington, B7083 Glaisnock Rd, Glaisnock St and Ayr Rd and vice versa.
