On 23/08/16 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph on the A70 Cumnock to Lugar (from 58m east of Old Cumnock Station Bridge to Thornwood Dr, Lugar) a distance of 1.1 kilometres or thereby, and Glenmuir Rd, Logan (from A70 to 88m west of Glenmuir Cres)a distance of 0.262 kilometres or thereby, the reason being to maintain public safety during an organised walk.
The Order will come into operation at 12:00 hrs until 18:00 hrs on 04/09/16, and will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
