On 26/3/21 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (UNION STREET, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2021 under Section 14(1) of the Rd Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in Union St (1) southbound from Nethergate to Whitehall Cr and (2) northbound from Whitehall Cr to Nethergate between 1100 hrs and 2300 hrs. The Order is operative for 9 months from 1/4/21 for facilitating safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists, with a maximum duration of 18 months. Council maintenance and emergency service vehicles are exempt. Alternative routes: for southbound traffic via Nethergate, Crichton St and Whitehall Cr and for northbound traffic via Whitehall Cr, Whitehall St and Nethergate.
