On 31/1/17 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (MAIN STREET AND CALDRUM STREET, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in (1) Main Street (eastbound) between Hilltown and Isla St and (2) Caldrum St at its junction with Main St. The Order is operative for 6 weeks from 6/2/17 for gas main renewal works, with a maximum duration of 18 months. Alternative routes: (1) Hilltown, Alexander St and Dens Rd and (2) Main St, Strathmartine Rd, Mains Rd and Thistle St.
