(SOUTH MAIN STREET CARPARK & U381W LOW VENNEL, WIGTOWN)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER)
ORDER 2023
Dumfries and Galloway Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close South Main Street Carpark and U381w Low Vennel, Wigtown from 0800 on 22/05/2023 to 1700 on 23/06/2023. Works will be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 will be closure of South Main Street Carpark, then Phase 2 closure of Low Vennel, between the substation and its junction with North Main Street, which will take place once works in the carpark are complete.
The closure is necessary to facilitate power upgrade works between both substations.
There is no alternative route for South Main Street carpark. Alternative for Low Vennel via North Main Street, New Road, Lochancroft Lane and vice versa.
Emergency access will be available if required.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
