(TEMPORARY 20MPH SPEED LIMIT)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2022
Notice is hereby given that The Dumfries and Galloway Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
1. The general effect of the Traffic Regulation Order will be to impose a temporary 20mph speed limit on specified lengths of roads within the extents of the existing 30mph speed limit in Castle Kennedy as detailed within the confines indicated by a solid black line on the plan below and in Schedule A.
2. The temporary speed limit is necessary to alleviate the likelihood of danger to the public caused by the potential conflict and collision between vehicles, pedal cycles and pedestrians on the roads stated by traffic travelling at speeds.
3. The temporary 20mph speed limit will be in force within Castle Kennedy from 00.00hrs, 19/09/2022 until 23.59hrs, 18/03/2024 (18 months).
