The City of Edinburgh Council (Traffic Regulation; Restrictions on Waiting, Loading and Unloading: West Area) (No 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2022 - TRO/21/30

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to introduce by way of an experiment: (1) introduce 24hr no waiting restrictions on (i) Arnott Gdns; (ii) Cammo Rd (nth-sth section); (iii) Cammo Rd (west-east section); (iv) Cammo Walk; (v) Clarendon Cres/Oxford Ter; (vi) Dovecot Grv; (vii) Dovecot Park; (viii) Drum Brae Nth; (ix) Drum Brae Ter; (x) Dundee St; (xi) Dundee Ter; (xii) Ferry Rd; (xiii) Fountainbridge; (xiv) Fowler Ter; (xv) Gibson Ter; (xvi) Grove St; (xvii) Hailes Ave; (xviii) Hailes Gdns; (xix) Hailes Grv; (xx) Hailes Park; (xxi) Kingsknowe Ave; (xxii) Kingsknowe Drv; (xxiii) Kingsknowe Gdns; (xxiv) Kingsknowe Rd Sth; (xxv) Kingsknowe Park; (xxvi) Ladywell Rd; (xxvii) Lanark Rd; (xxviii) Learmonth Ter; (xxix) Longstone Rd; (xxx) Marine Drv (eastbound); (xxxi) Marine Drv (westbound); (xxxii) Meadow Pl Rd; (xxxiii) Muirhouse Gdns; (xxxiv) Muirhouse Parkway; (xxxv) Muirhouse View; (xxxvi) Murdoch Ter; (xxxvii) Murrayburn Rd; (xxxviii) Oxford Ter; (xxxix) Pennywell Medway; (xl) Queensferry Rd; (xli) Salvesen Gdns; (xlii) Silverknowes Ct (southern jnct); (xliii) Silverknowes Cres; (xliv) Silverknowes Drv; (xlv) Silverknowes Parkway; (xlvi) Silverknowes Parkway/Muirhouse Parkway; (xlvii) Silverknowes Pl; (xlviii) Silverknowes Ct (nth leg); (xlix) Silverknowes Rd; (l) Silverknowes Rd East; (li) Spylaw Bank Rd; (lii) Spylaw Park; & (liii) Yeaman Pl; (2) introduce waiting restrictions and loading prohibitions on (i) Buckingham Ter; (ii) Drum Brae Nth; (iii) Dundee St; (iv) Fountainbridge; (v) Ladywell Rd; (vi) Orchard Toll; & (vii) Queensferry Rd; (3) introduce a loading bay from 9.30am – 4.00pm Mon – Fri & All Day Sat on Slateford Rd; (4) introduce prohibitions of motor vehicles (with exemptions) at any time on (i) Buckingham Ter (east leg); (ii) Cammo Walk; (iii) Oxford Ter; (iv) Oxford Ter (sth-west leg); (v) Silverknowes Pl (nthbound traffic only); & (vi) Silverknowes Rd; (5) bus lanes: (a) at any time on (i) Hillhouse Rd; & (ii) Queensferry Rd; & (b) from 7.30–9.30am & 4–6.30pm Mon – Fri on Lanark Rd; & (6) suspension of existing provisions: (a) parking place on (i) Angle Park Ter; (ii) Moat Pl; & (iii) Slateford Rd; (b) parking place, disabled parking place & loading bay on Lanark Rd; & (c) loading bay only on Slateford Rd. Details of the draft Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed free of charge either at Waverley Court Reception between 9:30 & 15:30 Mon-Fri, or online from 21/11/22 to 20/5/23 at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/trafficorders and www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. The Order will come into effect on 21/11/22. The Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of the Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person may object to the making of the Order for the purpose of such indefinite continuation. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made, in writing quoting reference TRO/21/30 to Traffic Orders, Place, 3.3 Waverley Court, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG, or by email to edinburgh.consultation@projectcentre.co.uk, not later than 20/5/23. If you are responding to this consultation and your comments or objection relate to any particular location/s or element/s of the proposals, it would be helpful if you could identify those in your response. Should this Order be varied by another experimental order or otherwise modified, there will be a further period of six months during which objections will be invited, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force.
