On Thursday 1 December 2022, Argyll and Bute Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on that length of the U015 Smiddy Lane, from its junction with the C62 Colchester Square/Argyll Street extending in a westerly direction to outside Icon Hairdressing, a distance of 52 metres or thereby.
The restrictions, which are required because essential maintenance works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the length of road, will be in operation every day between 2359 hours on the second day of December 2022 until 2359 hours on the twenty third day of December 2022, but will only have effect in relation to part or parts of the length of road when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs to minimise the potential impact on those affected.
