ARGYLL AND BUTE COUNCIL (WEST PRINCES STREET AND COLQUHOUN STREET, HELENSBURGH)(SPECIAL EVENT)(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022

 

On Wednesday 27th July 2022, Argyll and Bute Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers under Sections 16B(1)(b) of the said Act, made the above named Order the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, for the purpose of facilitating the Colquhoun Street Gala, no person shall drive or cause to or permit to be driven any vehicle through the sections of road on the dates and at the times as indicated in the schedule below.

PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

SATURDAY 27TH OF AUGUST 2022

FROM 09:30 TO 18:30 HOURS

 

Name of Road in Helensburgh    

Extent of Restriction

West Princes Street (Colquhoun Square)  

From its junction with Sinclair Street to its junction with James Street.

 

Colquhoun Street 

From its junction with West King Street to its junction with Colquhoun Square.

 

 

The restrictions imposed by this Order, which are desirable because of considerations of public safety and convenience during the event, will be in operation when indicated by signs.

Exceptions will apply to any vehicle which is being driven upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or an event steward; an emergency services vehicle; or an authorised vehicle associated with the organisation of the event. Exceptions will also apply to a vehicle being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes.
