ARGYLL AND BUTE COUNCIL (A816 SOROBA ROAD, MCCAIG ROAD, JURA ROAD AND SHUNA TERRACE, OBAN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) (EXTENSION) ORDER 2021

 

Argyll and Bute Council give notice that on Monday the 30^th August 2021 they made the above named Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of the Order is to temporarily restrict the waiting of vehicles, prohibit the driving of vehicles and restrict the speed of vehicles on the sections of road as detailed in the schedules below.

 

The restrictions, which are required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near those lengths of road, will be in operation from the 1^st day of October 2021 until Tuesday the 30th day of November 2021 or until the works are complete, whichever is the earliest. The restrictions will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the lengths of road as indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

 

SCHEDULE 1 – 10MPH SPEED RESTRICTION

 

The entire length of McCaig Road (U117), from its junction with the Lochgilphead-Oban Road (A816) extending in a generally northerly direction to its junction with Colonsay Terrace (U099), a distance of 890 metres or thereby.
That length of the Lochgilphead to Oban Road (A816) from a point 44 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with McCaig Road (U117) extending in a south easterly direction to a point 125 metres or thereby south east of its junction with McCaig Road, a distance of 169 metres or thereby.

 

SCHEDULE 2 - PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME

 

On both sides of the entire length McCaig Road (U117) from its junction with the Lochgilphead-Oban Road (A816) extending in a generally northerly direction to its junction with Colonsay Terrace (U099), a distance of 890 metres or thereby.
On both sides of the entire length of Jura Road (U086) from its junction with McCaig Road (U117) extending in a north westerly direction to its junction with Shuna Terrace (U088), a distance of 120 metres or thereby.

 

SCHEDULE 3 - PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

 

That length of Shuna Terrace (U088) from a point 30 metres or thereby northeast of the extended southeast kerbline of Jura Road (U086) extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of 75 metres or thereby (car parking area).
