Argyll and Bute Council gives notice that on Monday the 27th July 2020 they made the above named Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The effect of the Order will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of the A814 Dumbarton to Arrochar Road at Glenmallan, from a point 150 metres or thereby north of the jetty, extending in a southerly direction for a distance of 400 metres or thereby. The restriction which is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the length of road is already in effect, and will continue for a further 12 month period from 0000 hours on the 5th August 2020 until 2359 hours on 5th August 2021 or until the works are complete, whichever is the earliest.
In accordance with Section 15(2) of the above named Act, Argyll and Bute Council are satisfied that the execution of the works will take longer than a total duration of 18 months to complete and the restriction will be removed with immediate effect when the works are complete.
