ASSET TRANSFER UNDER THE COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT ACT
NOTICE OF ASSET TRANSFER REQUEST
An asset transfer request has been made to Angus Council under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
The request has been made by Monifieth Community Resource Group and relates to all land and buildings known currently as Invertay House and delineated within the red marked boundary on the map included in the accompanying documents which can be viewed on this site.
The request is for purchase of the land and buildings.
The proposed use of the land and buildings is to provide a fit for purpose and sustainable resource providing a wide variety of recreational pursuits. The land and buildings as defined would be developed to provide a community arts and leisure centre with a strong emphasis on sports and health. There is also intention to provide starter pods with shared services for young businesses.

Anyone may make representations about this request to Angus Council. Representations must be in writing and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the representation will be given to the organisation making the request.
Representations must be made by 30 October 2017. They should be sent to CommAssetTransfer@angus.gov.uk
