Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The first effect of the order, which will operate from 09:00 on 15 April, 2024, until 16:00 on 19 April, 2024, is to impose a one-way restriction on St. Machar Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with St. Machar Place and King Street. The permitted direction of travel will be eastbound only. One of the alternative routes for westbound vehicles is available via King Street, Ellon Road, Balgownie Road, The Parkway, Gordon Brae and Tillydrone Avenue.
From 09:00 on 18 April, 2024, until 16:00 on 26 April, 2024, is to impose a one-way restriction in the opposite direction on St. Machar Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with King Street and St. Machar Place. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. One of the alternative routes for eastbound vehicles is available via St. Machar Drive, Great Northern Road, Powis Terrace, Powis Place, Causewayend, Mounthooly and King Street.
ONLY ONE OF THESE RESTRICTIONS WILL BE IN PLACE AT ONE TIME.
The restriction is in the interests of public safety during installation works by Envevo.
