Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:00 on 10th July, 2023, until 18:00 on 14th July, 2023, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Belmont Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Little Belmont Street to the entrance for Nandos. An alternative route is available via Union Street, Union Terrace, Rosemount Viaduct and Schoolhill.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the same stretch of road.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
No left turn restriction from Gaelic Lane, Aberdeen, on to Belmont Street will be suspended.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during City Fibre duct laying works.
