Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
One of the effects of this Order, which will operate from 06:00 on 4 May 2023 until 21:00 on 12 June 2023 is to close South College Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Wellington Place and Millburn Street. An alternative route is available via North Esplanade West, Market Street, Guild Street, College Street. During this time parking will be suspended between the junction of Millburn Street and the access to 140-180 South College Street, and on either side of Millburn Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with South College Street and Prospect Terrace.
From 21:00 on 4 May 2023 until 21:00 on 5 June 2023, South College Street, Aberdeen, will be closed between its junctions with Millburn Street and the access to 140-180 South College Street. Access will be available. There will also be a suspension of parking on either side of the same stretch of road. An alternative route is available via North Esplanade West and Palmerston Place.
From 21:00 on 5 June 2023, until 21:00 on 12 June 2023 and again from 06:00 on 26 June 2023 until 21:00 on 2 July 2023, South College Street, Aberdeen, will be closed, between its junctions with Millburn Street and the access 140 to 180 South College Street. Access will be available. There will also be a suspension of parking on either side of the same stretch of road. An alternative route is available via North Esplanade West and Palmerston Place.
From 06:00 on 15 May 2023 until 21:00 on 18 May 2023 Wellington Place, Aberdeen, will be closed to westbound traffic. An alternative route is available via Bridge Street, Union Street, Crown Street.
From 06:00 on 18 May 2023 until 21:00 on 19 May 2023 Palmerston Place, Aberdeen will be one-way, eastbound only, between its junctions with Palmerston Road and North Esplanade West. An alternative route for westbound traffic is North Esplanade West, Russell Road, Poynernook Road and Palmerston Place.
From 06:00 on 5 June 2023, until 21:00 on 11 June 2023, Palmerston Place, Aberdeen, will be closed at its junction with Palmerston Road. Access will be available. An alternative route is available via South College Street, North Esplanade West, Russel Road, Poynernook Road and Palmerston Road. During this time there will be no parking for any purpose on either side of Palmerston Road, Aberdeen between its junctions with Palmerston Place and Old Ford Road. The existing one-way restriction on Palmerston Road, Aberdeen, shall also be suspended. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
