Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Cults Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Hillview Crescent and Kirkbrae Avenue from 09:00 on 4th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 5th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirkbrae Avenue, Kirk Brae and North Deeside Road; Craig Gardens, Aberdeen, from its junction with Quarry Road to the boundary between number 4 and 6 Craig Gardens from 09:00 on 4th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 5th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Quarry Road and Manse Road; Cairnlee Road East, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cairnlee Avenue East to the boundary between number 1 and 3 Cairnlee Road East from 09:00 on 11th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 12th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cairnlee Avenue East, Earlswells Drive and Earlswells Road; Cairnlee Avenue East, Aberdeen, from its junction with Earlswells Drive to the boundary between number 17 and 19 Cairnlee Avenue East from 09:00 on 18th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 19th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Earlswells Drive, Earlswells Road and Cairnlee Road East; Hillview Crescent, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hillview Drive to the boundary between number 4 and 6 Hillview Crescent from 09:00 on 25th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 26th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cults Avenue, Hillview Road and Hillview Drive; Hillview Crescent, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 30 and 32 Hillview Crescent to the service entrance for Cults Academy from 09:00 on 1st April, 2023, until 17:00 on 2nd April, 2023. An alternative route is available via Hillview Drive, Hillview Terrace and Quarry Road; Hillview Crescent, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cults Avenue to the boundary between number 4 and 6 Hillview Crescent from 09:00 on 3rd April, 2023, until 17:00 on 4th April, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cults Avenue, Hillview Road and Hillview Drive; Cairnlee Avenue East, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cairnside to the boundary between number 28 and 30 Cairnlee Avenue East from 09:00 on 5th April, 2023, until 17:00 on 6th April, 2023. An alternative route is available via Earlswells Drive and Earlswells Road; Cairnlee Avenue East, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cairnlee Road East to the boundary between number 6 and 8 Cairnlee Avenue East from 09:00 on 7th April, 2023, until 17:00 on 8th April, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cairnlee Road East, Earlswells Road and Earlswells Drive.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Fri; Cairnlee Avenue East, Cairnlee Crescent North, Cairnlee Road East, Craig Gardens, Cults Avenue, Hillview Crescent, Hillview Drive, Kirkbrae Drive, Manse Road, Quarry Court, Quarry Road, Cults, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 4th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 14th April, 2023.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.
