Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order, which will operate 08:00 on 4th March, 2023, until 07:00 on 6th March, 2023, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets; Beech Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Provost Fraser Drive to a point 5 metres in a southerly direction. An alternative route is available via Provost Fraser Drive and Long Walk Road; Granitehill Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Provost Fraser Drive to its southern junction with Moir Drive. An alternative route is available via Provost Fraser Drive, Kettlehills Crescent, Deansloch Crescent, Quarry Road, Cummings Park Crescent, Cummings Park Circle and Moir Drive.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of roads and also on either side on Provost Fraser Drive between its junctions with Granitehill Place and Beech Road.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
