Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Hilltop Avenue, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cults Avenue to the boundary between number 1 and 3 Hilltop Avenue from 09:00 on 13th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 14th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cults Avenue and Hilltop Road; Earlswells Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Cairnlee Avenue East and Earlswells Place from 09:00 on 13th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 14th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cairnlee Avenue East and Earlswells Road; Hilltop Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cults Avenue to the boundary between number 34 and 36 Hilltop Road from 09:00 on 15th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 16th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cults Avenue and Hilltop Avenue; Cairnlee Avenue East, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cairn Crescent to the boundary between number 41 and 43 Cairnlee Avenue East from 09:00 on 15th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 16th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cairn Crescent, Manse Road, Cairn Road, Baillieswell Road and Cairnlee Terrace; Craig Gardens, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 24 and 26 Craig Gardens to the boundary between number 30 and 32 Craig Gardens from 09:00 on 20th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 21st February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Manse Road and Quarry Road; Hilltop Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hilltop Avenue to the boundary between number 19 and 21 Hilltop Road from 09:00 on 22nd February, 2023, until 17:00 on 23rd February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Hilltop Avenue and Cults Avenue; Manse Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Craig Gardens and Cairn Gardens from 09:00 on 22nd February, 2023, until 17:00 on 23rd February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Quarry Road and Craig Gardens; Hilltop Avenue, Aberdeen, from its junction with Kirk Terrace to the entrance for lock up numbers 1-16 from 09:00 on 24th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 25th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirk Terrace, Kirk Brae, Kirk Drive, Kirk Crescent North and Hilltop Road; Cairn Crescent, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cairn Park to the boundary between number 9 and 11 Cairn Crescent from 09:00 on 27th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 28th February, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cairn Road, Baillieswells Road, Cairnlee Terrace and Cairnlee Avenue East.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Fri; Broom Park, Cairn Crescent, Cairn Gardens, Cairnlee Avenue East, Craig Gardens, Earlswells Drive, Earlswells Place, Hilltop Avenue, Hilltop Road, Kirk Place, Kirkbrae Avenue, Manse Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 13th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 26th March, 2023.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
