Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 04:00 on 10 October 2022 until 17:00 on 23 October 2022, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Esplanade from , King Street Eastbound for 100m only for the durations of the works. We will revoke King Street bus line at the Esplanade turn off to keep traffic flow smoothly. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the same stretch of road for the duration of the works. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during ACC carriageway resurfacing works.
