Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
One of the effects of the order, which will operate from 09:00 on 13 October, 2022, until 20:00 on 16 April, 2023, is to close South College Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Millburn Street and Wellington Place, from 09:00 on 10 October, 2022, until 20:00 on 29 January, 2023. An alternative route is available via Wellington Place, Crown Street and Millburn Street. . From 09:00 on 10 October, 2022, Palmerston Place, Aberdeen, will open again with access to Palmerston Road and also to the entrance to Neptune Energy. The existing one-way restriction will be suspended. From 19:00 on 5 December, 2022, until 08:00 on 6 December, 2022, the northbound carriageway of North Esplanade West, Aberdeen, will be closed, overnight, between its junctions with Queen Elizabeth Bridge Roundabout and Russel Road. The southbound carriageway will remain open. An alternative route is available via A956 Queen Elizabeth Bridge, South Esplanade West, Victoria Road, Victoria Bridge and Market Street. From 19:00 on 6 December, 2022, until 18:00 on 18 December, 2022, the southbound carriageway of North Esplanade West, Aberdeen, will be closed between its junctions with Raik Road and Queen Elizabeth Bridge Roundabout. The northbound carriageway will remain reopen during this time. An alternative route is available via Market Street, Victoria Bridge, Victoria Road, Menzies Road, Craig Place, A956 Queen Elizabeth Bridge. From 09:00 on 12 December, 2022, until 20:00 on 29 January, 2023, South College Street, Aberdeen, will be closed between its junctions with Wellington Place and Bank Street. From 09:00 on 30 January, 2023, until 20:00 on 16 April, 2023, South College Street, Aberdeen, will be closed between its junctions with Millburn Street and Queen Elizabeth Bridge Roundabout. An alternative route is available via North Esplanade West, Market Street, Guild Street, College Street and South College Street. There will also be a suspension of parking on either side of the same stretch of road. Finally from 09:00 on 30 January, 2023, until 20:00 on 26 February, 2023, Riverside Drive, Aberdeen, will be closed, between its junctions with the access road to 17 to 25 Riverside Drive and Queen Elizabeth Bridge Roundabout. An alternative route is available via Queen Elizabeth Bridge, Wellington Road, Abbotswell Road, West Tullos Road, Great Southern Road and Riverside Drive.
