Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Berrywell Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Southesk Place to the boundary between number 41 and 43 Berrywell Road from 09:00 on 3rd November, 2022, until 17:00 on 4th November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Southesk Place, Victoria Street and Berrywell Gardens; Southesk Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Berrywell Road and Fetach Walk from 09:00 on 7th November, 2022, until 17:00 on 8th November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Berrywell Road, Liddell Place and Fetach Walk; Fetach Walk, Aberdeen, from its junction with Southesk Place to the boundary between number 1 and 3 Fetach Walk from 09:00 on 9th November, 2022, until 17:00 on 10th November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Southesk Place, Berrywell Road and Liddell Place; Fergus Place, Aberdeen from its junction with Liddell Place and the entrance to Fergus House from 09:00 on 11th November, 2022, until 17:00 on 12th November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Liddell Place and Berrywell Road; Liddell Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Berrywell Road and Fetach Walk from 09:00 on 14th November, 2022, until 17:00 on 15th November, 2022. An alternative route is available via Berrywell Road, Southesk Place and Fetach Walk.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Ardlair Terrace, Balloch Way, Berrywell Road, Corrennie Circle, Fergus Place, Fetach Walk, Liddell Place, Louden Place, McIntosh Crescent, Southesk Place, Victoria Street, Dyce, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 10th October, 2022, until 17:00 on 20th November, 2022.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
