Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which will operate from 06:00 on 10th October, 2022, until 20:00 on 12th October, 2022, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Thistle Place, Aberdeen, from its junction with Victoria Street to the electric substation at the rear of number 7 Alford Place. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street and Thistle Street.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the east side of Victoria Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Thistle Place and Thistle Street.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
Alternative Route: An alternative route is available via Victoria Street and Thistle Street.
