Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary one-way restriction on the following streets;
George Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Spring Garden and Hutcheon Street from 09:00 on 29th August, 2022, until 07:00 on 1st September, 2022. The permitted direction of travel will be southbound only. An alternative route for northbound vehicles is via Spring Garden, Gallowgate, Mounthooly Roundabout and Hutcheon Street; Maberly Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with George Street and Skene Square direction from 09:00 on 29th August, 2022, until 17:00 on 3rd September, 2022. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route for eastbound vehicles is via Skene Square, Caroline Place, Hutcheon Street and George Street.
There will be a prohibition of right turns from George Street, Aberdeen on to Maberly Street from 09:00 on 29th August, 2022, until 07:00 on 1st September, 2022.
There will also be a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Ann Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Maberly Street to a point 10 metres in a northerly direction from 09:00 on 31st August, 2022, until 17:00 on 1st September, 2022. An alternative route is available via Skene Square, Caroline Place and Hutcheon Street, the one-way system on Ann Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Maberly Street and Hutcheon Street will be suspended to allow access to properties; Craigie Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Charlotte Street to the boundary between number 17 and 19 Craigie Street from 09:00 on 7th September, 2022, until 17:00 on 8th September, 2022. An alternative route is available via Charlotte Street, Maberly Street and George Street; Charlotte Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Maberly Street and Charlotte Place from 09:00 on 12th September, 2022, until 17:00 on 13th September, 2022. An alternative route is available via Maberly Street, George Street and Craigie Street.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Ann Street, Catherine Street, Charlotte Place, Charlotte Street, Craigie Street, George Street, Gerrard Street, Kingsland Place, Maberly Street, Rosemount Place, Skene Square, Spring Garden, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 16th August, 2022, until 17:00 on 26th September, 2022.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.
