Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Pittodrie Lane, Aberdeen, from its southern junction with Merkland Road East to the rear of number 12 Merkland Road East from 09:00 on 8th August, 2022, until 08:45 on 9th August, 2022. An alternative route is available via Merkland Road East, Merkland Lane and Merkland Road East Lane; Merkland Road East Lane, Aberdeen, from its junction with Merkland Road East to the rear of number 30 Merkland Road East from 09:00 on 9th August, 2022, until 08:45 on 10th August, 2022. An alternative route is available via Merkland Road East and Merkland Lane.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible;
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Merkland Road East, Aberdeen between its junctions with Pittodrie Lane and Ardarroch Road from 09:00 on 8th August, 2022, until 17:00 on 12th August, 2022.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
