Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary one-way restriction on Skene Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Esslemont Avenue and Summer Street from 09:00 on 9th July, 2022, until 07:00 on 10th July, 2022 and also from 09:00 on 16th July, 2022, until 07:00 on 17th July, 2022. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route eastbound vehicles is available via Esslemont Avenue, Leadside Road and Rosemount Viaduct.
There will temporary be one-way restriction on Leadside Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Richmond Street and Rosemount Square from 09:00 on 4th August, 2022, until 17:00 on 5th August, 2022. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route eastbound vehicles is available via Esslemont Avenue, Rosemount Place and South Mount Street.
There will be a temporary prohibition of driving on Kidd Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Summer Street to car park entrance for Grampian Housing Association from 09:00 on 11th July, 2022, until 17:00 on 12th July, 2022. An alternative route is available via Summer Street, Huntly Street and Chapel Street and also on Huntly Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Summer Street to the boundary between number 78 and 80 Huntly Street from 09:00 on 25th July, 2022, until 17:00 on 26th July, 2022. An alternative route is available via Summer Street, Little Chapel Street and Chapel Street.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a temporary prohibition of traverse on Skene Lane between its junctions with Skene Street and Upper Denburn from 09:00 on 23rd July, 2022, until 07:00 on 24th July, 2022. An alternative route is available via Skene Street, Rosemount Viaduct and Upper Denburn
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Huntly Street, Jacks Brae, Kidd Street, Leadside Road, Minister Lane, Northfield Place, Rosemount Viaduct, Skene Street, Summer Street, Whitehouse Street, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 6th July, 2022, until 17:00 on 16th August, 2022.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.
