Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;

Summer Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Skene Street and Skene Terrace from 09:00 on 6th June, 2022, until 17:00 on 7th June, 2022. An alternative route is available via Skene Street, Rose Street and Huntly Street; Skene Terrace, Aberdeen, from its junction with Rosemount Viaduct to the steps leading from North Silver Street from 18:30 on 9th June, 2022, until 07:00 on 10th June, 2022. An alternative route is available via Rosemount Viaduct, Skene Street and Summer Street. The one-way system on Skene Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Rosemount Viaduct and Summer Street will be suspended to allow egress from properties; Diamond Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with North Silver Street to the boundary between the rear of number 21 North Silver Street and 33 Diamond Street from 09:00 on 13th June, 2022, until 17:00 on 14th June, 2022. An alternative route is available via North Silver Street and Ruby Lane; Ruby Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with North Silver Street and Ruby Lane from 09:00 on 18th June, 2022, until 07:00 on 19th June, 2022. An alternative route is available via North Silver Street and Ruby Lane. The one-way system on Ruby Lane, Aberdeen, between its western junction with North Silver Street and the rear of number 9 North Silver Street will be suspended to allow egress from properties; Skene Terrace, Aberdeen, from its junction with Summer Street to the gable end of the George Bennett Mitchell Hall from 09:00 on 26th June, 2022, until 06:00 on 27th June, 2022. An alternative route is available via Rosemount Viaduct, Skene Street and Summer Street. The one-way system on Skene Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Rosemount Viaduct and Summer Street will be suspended to allow egress from properties. There will be a prohibition of right turns from Skene Terrace, Aberdeen on to Rosemount Viaduct.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible

There will also be a temporary one-way restriction on Skene Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Rosemount Viaduct and Summer Street from 09:00 on 4th June, 2022, until 07:00 on 5th June, 2022 and also from 09:00 on 11th June, 2022, until 07:00 on 12th June, 2022.The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route eastbound

vehicles is available via Esslemont Avenue, Leadside Road and Rosemount Viaduct and also on Crimon Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Summer Street and Golden Square from 09:00 on 20th June, 2022, until 17:00 on 24th June, 2022. The permitted direction of travel will be south-eastbound only. An alternative route north-westbound vehicles is available via Golden Square, South Silver Street, Union Street, Union Terrace, Rosemount Viaduct and Summer Street.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Crimon Place, Diamond Place, Diamond Street, North Silver Street, Rosemount Viaduct, Ruby Place, Skene Street, Skene Terrace, Summer Street, Union Terrace, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 4th June, 2022, until 17:00 on 15th July, 2022.

Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.

The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.
