Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;

Parkhill Avenue, Aberdeen, from its junction with Parkhill Crescent to the boundary between number 27 and 29 Parkhill Avenue from 09:00 on 2nd May, 2022, until 17:00 on 3rd May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Overton Circle; Parkhill Avenue, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 29 and 31 Parkhill Avenue to the boundary between number 48 and 50 Parkhill Avenue from 09:00 on 5th May, 2022, until 17:00 on 6th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Overton Circle; Parkhill Crescent, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 4 and 6 Parkhill Crescent to the cul de sac entrance to numbers 5-15 Parkhill Crescent from 09:00 on 9th May, 2022, until 17:00 on 10th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Parkhill Avenue; Overton Circle, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Parkhill Avenue and Parkhill Circle from 09:00 on 12th May, 2022, until 17:00 on 13th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Parkhill Avenue; Parkhill Circle, Aberdeen, from its junction with Parkhill Way to the boundary between number 13 and 15 Parkhill Circle from 09:00 on 17th May, 2022, until 17:00 on 18th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Overton Circle; Parkhill Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Overton Circle and Parkhill Crescent from 09:00 on 23rd May, 2022, until 17:00 on 24th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Overton Circle; Parkhill Circle, Aberdeen, from the gable end of number 22 Parkhill Circle to the boundary between number 25 and 27 Parkhill Circle from 09:00 on 25th May, 2022, until 17:00 on 26th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Overton Circle; Parkhill Circle, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 51 and 53 Parkhill Circle to the boundary between number 59 and 61 Parkhill Circle from 09:00 on 27th May, 2022, until 17:00 on 28th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Overton Circle.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Overton Circle, Parkhill Avenue,

Parkhill Circle, Parkhill Crescent, Parkhill Way, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 2nd May, 2022, until 17:00 on 12th June, 2022.

Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.

The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
