Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;

Hardgate, Aberdeen, from its junction with Balmoral Road to the boundary between number 299 and 301 from 09:00 until 17:00 on 17th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Balmoral Road, Holburn Street & Bloomfield Road. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the same stretch of road; Balmoral Place, Aberdeen, from its junction with Broomhill Road to the rear of number 40 Balmoral Place from 09:00 until 17:00 on 19th May, 2022. An alternative route is available via Broomhill Road, Pitstruan Place & Irvine Place. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the same stretch of road.

Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
