Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;

Lee Crescent North, Aberdeen, from its junction with Jesmond Drive to the boundary between number 5 and 7 Lee Crescent North from 09:00 on 10th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 11th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive and Lee Crescent; Jesmond Circle, Aberdeen, from its south-eastern junction with Jesmond Gardens to the boundary between number 39 and 41 Jesmond Circle from 09:00 on 16th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 17th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via western junction with Jesmond Gardens and Jesmond Circle; Jesmond Circle, Aberdeen, from its western junction with Jesmond Gardens to the boundary between number 4 and 6 Jesmond Circle from 09:00 on 21st February, 2022, until 17:00 on 22nd February, 2022. An alternative route is available via south-eastern junction with Jesmond Gardens and Jesmond Circle; Lee Crescent North, Aberdeen, from the entrance for numbers 2-20 Lee Crescent North to the unadopted footpath at the side of numbers 19/21 Lee Crescent North from 09:00 on 23rd February, 2022, until 17:00 on 24th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive and Lee Crescent; Lee Crescent North, Aberdeen, from the entrance for numbers 52-64 Lee Crescent North to the entrance for numbers 70-118 Lee Crescent North from 09:00 on 3rd March, 2022, until 17:00 on 4th March, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive and Lee Crescent; Lee Crescent North, Aberdeen, from the entrance for numbers 95-121 Lee Crescent North to the boundary between number 130 and 132 Lee Crescent North from 09:00 on 7th March, 2022, until 17:00 on 8th March, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive and Lee Crescent; Lee Crescent North, Aberdeen, from the entrance for numbers 154-172 Lee

Crescent North to the boundary between number 172 and 174 Lee Crescent North from 09:00 on 9th March, 2022, until 17:00 on 10th March, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive and Lee Crescent.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

There will also be a temporary prohibition of traverse on the unadopted footpath between Jesmond Drive and Jesmond Grange from 09:00 on 15th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 16th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive and Jesmond Grange and also on the footpath leading to Ashwood Crescent from Jesmond Drive to the boundary between number 52 and 54 Ashwood Crescent from 09:00 on 23rd February, 2022, until 17:00 on 25th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive and the footpath between number 10 and 12 Ashwood Crescent.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Jesmond Circle, Jesmond Drive, Jesmond Gardens, Jesmond Grove, Lee Crescent North, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 9th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 22nd March, 2022.

Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.

The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
