Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 62(1) of the Roads Scotland Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named orders in terms of the above-named statutes. The effect of the first order, which will operate on Sunday, 26 September 2021, (see below), is to close Esplanade and Accommodation Road as outlined in Schedule One. The second order provides for other temporary traffic management arrangements in association with the closures which are being introduced to ensure public safety during the Cancer Research UK Womens 5km Charity Fun Run/Walk (Race for Life) event. From 06:00 until 17:00 on Sunday 26 September, 2021, there will be a prohibition of waiting at any time on either side of the Esplanade, Aberdeen between Links Road and King Street, and the whole length of Accommodation Road. Also, from 06:00 to 17:00 on Sunday 26 September, 2021, the bus only restriction on the southbound carriageway of the A956, King Street, Aberdeen will be suspended through the bus gate at the Esplanade junction to allow access for all vehicles. SCHEDULE ONE Sunday 26 September 2021 Esplanade - from a point south of its junction with Links Road (beside the Beach Ballroom) to its junction with the King Street, between 06:00 and 17:00. Accommodation Road - from Park Road / Golf Road to the Esplanade, between 06:00 and 17:00
