Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets:

Froghall Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Froghall Terrace to the boundary between number 5-11 and 15 Froghall Road from 08:00 on 6th September, 2021, until 17:00 on 7th September, 2021. An alternative route is available via Froghall Terrace. The one-way system on Froghall Road, Aberdeen, will be suspended to allow egress from properties; Jute Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Canal Street to the entrance for St Annes Court from 08:00 on 9th September, 2021, until 17:00 on 10th September, 2021. An alternative route is available via Kings Crescent, Spital and Froghall Terrace; Jute Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Kings Crescent to the car park entrance between number 1 and 3-13 Jute Street from 08:00 on 27th September, 2021, until 17:00 on 28th September, 2021. An alternative route is available via Kings Crescent, Spital and Froghall Terrace.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

There will be a temporary one-way restriction on the following streets:

Kings Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Mounthooly and Spital; Spital, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Kings Crescent and Froghall Terrace from 08:00 on 20th September, 2021, until 19:00 on 24th September, 2021. The permitted direction of travel will be northbound only. An alternative route for southbound vehicles is available via Merkland Road, King Street and Mounthooly.

Mounthooly, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Mounthooly Roundabout and Kings Crescent from 19:00 on 24th September, 2021, until 20:00 on 26th September, 2021. The permitted direction of travel will be southbound only. An alternative route for northbound vehicles is available via West North Street, King Street and Mounthooly Way.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Canal Place, Canal Street, Froghall Road, Froghall Terrace, Froghall View, Jute Street, Kings Crescent, Mounthooly, Spital, St Peter Lane, St Peter Street, Aberdeen from 08:00 6th September, 2021, until 17:00 on 17th October, 2021.

Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense

The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time.
