Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on Monday, 9 August 2021, until 12:00 on 13 August 2021, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Fairview Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Fairview Crescent, and also on Fairview Brae, Aberdeen, between its junction with Fairview Street and its northern junction with Fairview Brae. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the same stretches of road. An alternative route is available via Gordon Brae, Laurel Drive and Fairview Street. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the east and south side of Wallacebrae Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Fairview Street and Wallacebrae Terrace, and on the south and west side of Wallacebrae Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Wallacebrae Drive and Fairview Street. This is to allow buses to manoeuvre a diversion route. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during works for Scottish Water.
