Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a one-way restriction the following streets from 08:00 on 23rd August, 2021, until 17:00 on 27th August, 2021; Sunnyside Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Bedford Road and Bedford Place. The permitted direction of travel will be eastbound and southbound only. An alternative route for westbound and northbound vehicles is available via Bedford Place and Bedford Road; Bedford Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Bedford Road and Sunnyside Road. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route for eastbound vehicles is available via Bedford Road and Sunnyside Road.

There will also be a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets; Erskine Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Bedford Place to the boundary between number 52 and 54 Erskine Street from 08:00 on 31st August, 2021, until 17:00 on 1st September, 2021. An alternative route is available via Bedford Place, Elmfield Avenue and Elmfield Terrace; Sunnyside Avenue, Aberdeen, from its junction with Sunnyside Road to the boundary between number 2 and 4 Sunnyside Avenue from 08:00 on 2nd September, 2021, until 17:00 on 3rd September, 2021. An alternative route is available via Sunnyside Road and Bedford Road; Sunnyside Avenue, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hermitage Avenue to the boundary between number 20 and 22 Sunnyside Avenue from 08:00 on 6th September, 2021, until 17:00 on 7th September, 2021. An alternative route is available via Sunnyside Road and Bedford Road.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Bedford Place, Bedford Place Lane, Erskine Street, Hermitage Avenue, Sunnybank Place, Sunnybank Road, Sunnyside Avenue, Sunnyside Gardens, Sunnyside Road, Sunnyside Terrace, Sunnyside Walk, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 10th August, 2021, until 17:00 on 20th September, 2021.

Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.

The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 50 metres at a time. For an update as to when the no-waiting restrictions will be implemented please contact GCU (UK) Ltd on 08001114669
